Has spark and clean fuel, wont start

i know this is a old thread but i was hoping for some advice im having sort of the same problem. I have a 1982 evinrude 15hp pull start i have spark good compression and fuel but still no crank only a back fire sometimes which makes me think it is out of time but i have searched all over the internet and can not figure out how to time it.. and advice would be greatly appreciated thanks guys..

The timing simply does not go out of adjustment.----Well ,----- except for a sheared flywheel key !

The fly wheel key Isent sheared or messed up

Very hard for the timing to go out of adjustment on these simple motors.

That’s what I was thinking. I’m beginning to think it is a spark issue. Top cylinder it won’t quit jump 7/16th of an inch but bottom on will jump 1/2”
