Re: has anyone used signature finish boat paint?
The part that i liked about signature finish is that i was told they can match my current color. Im not painting the whole boat so i would like to match the color. I know i wont be perfect but i want to do from the rub rail down to the bottom paint
Ayuh,.... Welcome Aboard,..... Most all paints can be bought in Custom mixed
Colors,....
All it takes is a paint
Number,....
I use Martin Seymour Prizim from my local Napa,....
It's 'bout like the Imron mentioned, tough as nails, on a
properly prepped surface,...
Changin' hardeners gives ya different properties to the paint,...
They've got stuff out now, that turns Prizim into anti-graffiti paint, slick as glass,...
A hull painted with it at the shop had it's boot stripe "Wash Off" at the dock, within a week of launch,....
'n when it came outa the river this fall, it was amazin'ly Clean, for a docked boat,....
I can't wait to throw some onto 1 of My hulls,...
Another thought,.... Ya might consider goin' to a complimentin' color,....
Rather than an "Almost" matchin' color,....
Custom mixes ain't always an Exact match,...
I had a guy use some machine to scan a color to match it, the sample was more contrastin', than matchin',...
That's why paint
Numbers are so important,...
