Has anyone used expandable foam and sheet foam togather?

Hi. I am doing a transom, floor redo on my 1988 starcraft islander and I was using expandable foam for sound deadening and I thought it would be good for structural strength as well however I am going to come up quiet short after buying a 10 gal kit. I thought I would go to lowes and get sheet foam to streach out what I have left. Is this a good idea or bad?

It works, don't use EPS foam though.

its OK, I know an aluminum boat manufacturer that uses blue sheet foam as a stiffener for their aluminum floor and then uses pour foam under that in selected area's. even though it has a lot of buoyancy they don't and can't count it as part of the level floatation cause its not coast guard approved. I think that's because it will dissolve in gas and gas fumes given a little time.
