Finally got my 88 Force 125 running fairly well (starts in under 2 seconds when cold/choke), but noticed that it was very difficult to restart after running it for a while in the tub. Ran it for about 5 minutes at 1500 RPMs to get it warm and then shut it off. Tried to start it after about 2 minutes and had a heck of a time getting it to light. Once started, it ran and idled fine. Suggestions on how to troubleshoot this?

Might be a hole or tear in the fuel pump diaphragm.
If so, it will leak fuel into the crankcase and flood out a cylinder, making restart difficult.

It usually takes longer than sitting 2 minutes, but you never know.

If it hasn't been replaced in the last five years, put a new diaphragm in. Under $20.
