I have an odd "bungie" type fastener on my 2003 Chaparral 220i custom cover. I have attached a pic. Does anyone know where to order these?

I have an upholstery shop and I carry them. PM me with a count of how many you need and an address and I'll send them out.

They remove by prying off the black plastic disc on the back. If you're super, super careful, you can reuse the black housing. I just toss the whole shooting match and install new pieces.

P.S....they're called shock cords.

Hope I won't get slammed for this, but iboats doesn't carry them. Here you go- shock cords and studs:

My boat was built with some of them. You can also do away with the 'cover clip' piece and just make a loop of bungee cord knotted on the inside of the hole in the cover.

I appreciate the responses. I have at least two exact replacements. Knowing they are called "Shock Cords" was 90% of the battle. Thanks.

What he needs is for mooring covers. Not tarp.

It's actually for the canvas enclosure. Most manufacturers are going to these instead of snaps. This leaves a bit of "wiggle room" for when the canvas starts to skrink up over time. However, most companies still utilize the zippers, snaps, and quarter turn retainers in the corners and where the canvas meets up together.
