Hard steering

To make a long story short my 1989 twin Yamahas are hard to move when disconnected from the steering cable.Is there a method to help free up the engines ability to move side to side more easily?Thank you Andy

the pivot tube should be greasable. however if there is a lot of corrosion, you may have to dissassembly the pivot assembly to free it up.
