hard starting

hey there 1973 rude 50 hp hard starting problems..... well it seems the choke is too much and the fuel is wrong... i crank the motor with no choke fires but instantly recoils the starter and wont run... put choke on same thing then by messing with throtttle on motor and choke at same time will fire and run when she decides too... what could it be ?

when were the carbs last cleaned and rebuilt? sounds like link n sinc are off.

hey thanks for the response so fast the carbs have been pulled off and rebuilt bought two months ago as far as sinc goes dont really know the motor sat for about 10-15 years once you get it runnin runs good but then at the same time wont restart without the same scenario
