A guy died in the Mississippi river near Lake Chicot a few years back noodling.
The Flathead he latched into was more than he could handle and it pulled him out of the back waters and into the current.
When they found the body the imprint on his wrist estimated the fish to be between 75 to 90 pounds.

Be careful when noodling a 60 pound fish can out weight you in the water.

Haven't ever noodled a catfish, but I've barehanded some garfish and choupique when the Red River flooded some family property a few times!! Talk about a rush!! Just gotta grab, no hesitation, for the body and hold on like a vice grip!! Not to mention the other ones running into and brushing against your legs!!
