Hammond, LA Saltwater? or Freshwater?

Hi to all,

Recently relocated to Hammond, LA due to Katrina flooding Chalmette residence. Flood waters sunk my boat and destroyed my motor. I had just got it installed on recently purchased Tims flatboat. Anyway I am in the market for a new ob around a 70 hp. and when I get it I will be looking for places to fish in the manchac area and was wondering it was saltwater.

Manchac depending on where you are and how the drought conditions are can be brackish. For the most part it's fresh though.

Mostly freshwater around there. Your not likely to catch anything like your acustom to down in Holedale or Shell Beach.

salt water will damige rubbers if designed for fresh water you must wash off after use jimlad d
