Hello Flyrod.<br />They are the same<br />Hebrew uses a different alphabet,so what you see is not a translation,but a transliteration.<br />The way it is spelled in latin letters is an attempt to get as close to the hebrew pronunciation as possible.However,the harsh hebrew "g" or "chet" sound does not exist in English.It exists in dutch and spanish.like the way the spanish speakers say:"Jose".<br />So both Hanukkah and Chanukkah are an attempt to get you as close to the original pronunciation as possible.
I'm confused about Hanukkah and Chanukah!!!<br /><br />To me they seem to be the same!!!<br /><br />Please explain!!!
