Trim and speedo.
Trim motor works fine with no problems at all. When trimming down the unit will work flawlessly but the guage stops registering trim at halfway. I did remove the trim sender as I thought maybe that was the issue and all I would have to do was reset the drive gear on the unit and put it back on...nope. when I rotate the gear on sending unit it does drive the guage but only to halfway, keep turning and it returns to full up on the guage. I am now using halfway on the guage for down. Big deal? nope, would I like it to work? yup.
Also the speedo is intermittent. I did put a new pilot tube on but did not change the tubing to the fitting on the transom. When I blow into the tube it does affect the speedo so Im not sure thats the problem.
Any thoughts on these things will be welcome.
Thanks!

My thoughts, could care less about the trim gauge , should adjust by the way it rides without looking at any gauge . Speedo , GPS on cell and mentally take note of RPMs to speed so you don't have to keep looking at your cell , more accurate than your tube .

My Stingray came from the factory with intermittent speedo problems. Right off the bat I replaced the entire length of tubing and sealed both ends tight. I found a kink in the original tube. 35 years later it still worked perfectly - within 1 mph of GPS.

tube was kinked at the inside of the transom. Straightened it all out and the speedo is within 1 mph of the GPS. Thanks for your help!!!
