Greetings iboats gurus! I have been lurking and searching, grinning and grieving over this forum for about a year now, and I finally decided to make my presence known. I want to thank all of you for making my boating experience so much more enjoyable. With your tales of stringer replacing pain or dreamy new-to-you-boat look in your eye; you make this one of the friendliest and funniest places to be on the net. I look forward to enduring the winter blues with you guys and gals as I continue to read of the pride and pitfalls of watercraft ownership. Cheers!

Thank you Gentlemen! Hey East...does that avatar sign say what I think it does? If so, does your wife/g-friend approve? Tyme, Monroe is our haunt, do you ever get there? Fairlaneman, I agree winter is a great time to reflect on the joys of summer past, and to make plans/prepare for more projects before spring thaw. I only have three projects I want to complete while the old man blows cold. We've been getting consistent snow/melt/freeze/rain/snow patterns here, so all I can do is daydream while looking at the boating mags, and of course reading countless pages here on iboats!

No, I've never been to Monroe. I'm just 6 miles from the Ohio River and Mcalpine dam is where I fish 90% of the time.
