So also a good time to keep a used boat. Boating doesn't have to be expensive. I was lucky, and two years ago, after a year of searching found a near mint 1963 aluminum starcraft starchief with a 78 evinrude outboard. Did not take a lot of work to have it in excellent condition. Costs around $500 a year in fuel and maintenance for many hours on the lake..
