Of course it says it all, rolmops, Bush/Cheney saying that the current powerhouses, in the Democratic Party, are undeniably liberal. Where is the conflict? If your meaning is that it is not truthful, that does not speak well for your 'progressive' powers of assessment.

Or is it that it is mean (mean people suck, you know) and partisan to tell the truth? Oh, for shame!

I, personally, do not believe that this country has ever seen such a collection of lying, 'partisan' buffoons as pictured in that ad.

btw, LubeDude, nice to see you jump back in to DC, with both feet. Good ad you rounded up, there!

I'm glad that you find it so virtuous to stay above the fray. Certainly a very 'progressive' approach, or so they would like to pretend.

David, i agree that the political climate in the country sucks, and the level of discourse is at an all time low, that is not the fault of this president nor his opponent, the fault lies with the various news organizations that somehow take it upon themselves to editorialise the news instead of giving it straight and let the people make up their own minds as to what they find to be acceptable or what they'll reject.
Don't blame the President he's doing an excellent job.

Elmer, you did put it well. Unfortunately, the media has an axe to grind and tries their level best to, both subtly and often not so subtly, push their agenda.

Serious question....due to lack of enlightenment I do not understand what the media stands to gain from supporting demoncrats.

Perhaps 'cause demon liberals will permit the media to publish/present whatever immoral--for example porn or homo loving--thus presenting and promoting same to mainstream America?

Seems to me that decades ago the Democrat Party was indeed supportive of the blue color folks that needed representation in light of "big business" practices. IMO, Democrats are merely seeking to survive as the working crowd is represented by Federal labor standards, etc.

Anyhow, what does the media stand to gain from Dems. in office???????

In my not so HO 99% of the media are hard core Demoncrats and use their position to promote the Left party.

Here is a real life example:
Had coffee a week ago with a friend who just back from Iraq. The troops over there are pumped about all the good things going on. Then they watch CNN,ABC,CBS and only see the worst!
Our troops are ticked about this. A liar (or left wing spinmiester) would say that bad news is what sells (with some truth to that) but the bottom line is the the news people don't want to report anything good in Iraq because it doesn't meet their agenda to promote "Their view"

Pat I just put in BOLD the short version of answering your question :)

Thats just my take on it Pat from what I see.

Just for starters, PC, they loathe the military. The current Chief Among Them said that himself. A strong military, in part, makes a strong America. And even though you may not pay big attention, you must know that we must not be allowed to be strong because America is bad and evil. Right on from Christopher Columbus, through the wicked slave owning Founding Fathers, through to today.

America has earned it's hour at the top of the heap but the Libs say we stole it so they want to tear us down to the level of the rest of the world.

This outlook started out with a few radicals and now permeates our society with the help of the news media, the NEA and now generations of citizens.

What's their end game you ask? It's world socialism. Are all Democrats and Liberals concious of this goal as they ply their philosophy? NO, but the more of them that play this game and they longer they are allowed to play it, that is where they/we are being taken. For most Democrats, it's nothing more than a substitute for religion. The mass of Democrats are simply swallowing the reasoning put forth, hook, line and sinker, as their distorted form of 'doing good works'

And where does socialism lead, when all strength, morality, patriotism and Christianity are squeezed out of a society? I'll let you answer that question. Just look around you. The process is well underway. And that is why they are screaming all manner of absurdities, distortions and yes, lies, because George Bush, the Republican Party and all of those in mid-America, that are supporting Bush are threating to remove the Liberals further from power, putting the brakes on the headlong dash for their end game.

Re: Great campain add!!

I agree.

I would go so far as to say that there are certainly many decent folks who support certain policies or ideas with good and honorable intent, but the problem is that those policies and ideas are ultimately harmful and are the tools by which certain individuals intend to impose their will upon the rest of us. Deception is the name of the game.

My wife's 86-year old grandmother is a perfect example. She's been a political volunteer for the democrats in her state for over 50 years and has been recognized for her service. She is a devout woman and means no harm to anyone. Her concern is that she thinks the little guy needs help, and she believes the old legend about Republicans being for the rich and democrats being for the poor (what a CROCK!). Her intent is to help the little guy, but she does not realize how badly the little guy gets hammered and held down by democrat ideas and policies.

The environmental movement is full of people who think they're doing something good, but ultimately harm us all. I'm all for clean air and water, and lots of big healthy fish in the lakes, rivers and oceans, but I am not so gullible as to believe that these things can only be had when free enterprise and the profit motive are done away with. But many people can't see the reality of it, and can't see the fact that they are being used to establish dictatorship.

Certain people have reacted emotionally to gun crimes, and support legislation that blatantly undermines our very Constitution. Misguided as they are, I know they think they stand for something good, but they are totally ignorant of the fact that gun control does not reduce crime and that every time a nation is disarmed, genocide and brutal tyranny follow.

I think people have some real problems of perception these days.

However, I also beieve that there are certain people who simply do mean harm, and I think they are driven by nothing less than pure evil. Those are the ones behind all the nonsense.

DogsDad, you hit the nail on the head. As I have sought to understand the driving force behind those 'certain people', who have to convince the masses to go along with their plan,(they are having great success, you might notice) I have come to the recognition that there is no explanation beyond pure base Evil.

However, to believe in Evil, one cannot be an atheiest or secularist. If there is no God or God is irrelavent, then there can also be no Evil. If there is no Evil, then one has to believe that the motives of the 'certain people' are pure and all of their reasoning taken at face value. They have become masters at putting logical and fair titles on all of their schemes. Case in point, abortion becomes a woman's right to choose or reverse discrimination becomes a leg up for those that have been harmed in the past, Anti-gun groups giving themselves name like 'Citizens for Firearm Safety', etc etc.

This is precisely why the Left has to de-Christianize this country, inch by inch, bit by bit.

See what you started, LubeDude? :D

this election year like several before it boils down to the lesser of the two evils, it is a sad state of afairs when the choice boils down to this.

Re: Great campain add!!

Welcome to iboats Koda!

Please post an example why we are faced with the lesser of two evils for this Presidential election cycle.

Can a candidate be not considered evil due to charisma? Saying the "right" message in a speech? Be mindful that IMO Edwards is very evil due to his accumulation of wealth via his profession as a trial attorney. But Edwards has the million dollar smile, "charisma"if you will.

Please be mindful that whoever is elected to office will be leading Our United States in partnership with Congress and the Senate.

Also, presidential candidates may claim on their stump that they will do so and so. Reality is that unless the Senate an Congress are on board to pass legislation that a President initiates....campaign promises are merely hollow words.
