Cut ours yesterday for the first time this year. It was 70 here yesterday. Supposed to be 43 for the high Saturday with mountain snow in the forecast.

My yard is the same size as years ago.-----My lawn has gotten smaller, my garden has gotten bigger.----Lots of places for birds and insects to find food.----Remember a green lawn is a desert to butterflies and bees.-----Same as a millions of acres of farm land are useless land to many animals

Since I spend most of my time messing around with boats and conversing with you guys online, I've let crab grass take over my lawn, much to my neighbor's dismay.

Therefore I don't have to cut the grass until late June when the crab grass comes in and I stop cutting it in early October as the nights get chilly causing the crab grass to fade. 🤪

We have a few butter fly bushes, flowers all over the place, Bee bath (flatter then bird bath with small rocks in it so Bees can get a drink), bird feeders and houses, and a Bat house. Also a garden

I had a stray kitty cat in my yard over the winter.----Took a liking to him.-----Showed up injured one day.-----Now recovering in the house.-----Vet clinics charge even more than your local boat shop !!!!----He feels better and I feel good about it.

Have a Tractor and 15 foot batwing finish mower that I cut 20 acres with. Have not cut it yet, but probably will Monday
I only cut fields (weeds) 3-4 times a years. The hay burners take care of the rest.

Tried to let it go until Memorial day last year. Will not do that again. Too many fawns bedded down. Too many close calls

I cut the grass and trimmed shrubbery for 50+ years starting as a young kid. I now have a gardener that comes by every 2 weeks To do that stuff. Now I have more time to do the things I love , hunt, fish, boat, travel, read, sleep…….
