My outboard is: 1987, 4Cylinder 45hp Mariner, electric start, S/SOB298425 (without thermostat)
I am looking for a basic RPM/Tachometer Gauge (Teleflex Red International Series Tachometer ..?) that might fit or adapt to my harness or have its own harness? Or work with an adapter..? The plug at the shift box is a recessed rubber plug with 4 pins sticking up inside in a crescent pattern taking up a little over half the plug area. (stock Mariner I believe?)
Lots of marine supply places carry the tach & harness I just wanted to be sure it could be configured to my motor or if possible that maybe is possible it would plug straight into my existing harness..? would hate to have it come all the down to my place and find out it will not work!
