Anyone know any good models/brands?

Ideally, something between 6'-7' in length
Something that can handle a good amount of stress without breaking
For a (reasonable) price, ie less than $150

Would help me out alot. Feel free to give any experiences with them if available

Thanks

There is a formula for the "proper" length of oars. You should google it before you order anything ;)

I have been lucky to have started with the original oars for the whaler, which has the factory oarlocks. I just get the same length as the previous set and put the lock in the exact same place and I'm good to go. I usually only use them for putting the boat on the trailer when I'm fishing alone. Put the motors up, row onto the trailer, jump out the front of the boat onto the trailer catwalk, hook up the winch strap, then winch it on.

oars are not that hard to make. check out wooden boats forum. I've made 3 out of spruce, very light strong and inexpensive. also far superior to anything you can buy. If you have a maritime museum in your area they would be glad to assist. I work in one on long island
