i bought a '07 tahoe q4 last year ( brand new left over). i was able to use it for about 2 months before the season was over. that season i had a couple of warrnety issues, ( fire ext. bracket broke, fuel guage would stick, and it would diesel when i shut it off, also the insturment panel had started to crack.) i waited till this spring to bring it in to the dealer to get the items fixed, and NO i didnt buy it at a bass pro shop. i got a call from the dealer saying that all items were fixed except the insturment panel b/c they no longer make that panel, but Tahoe said they can make a special one just for me! thats the kinda customer service i like to see. I thought i would post this for anyone thinking of buying a tahoe.

That's what I'm talking about! People only want to post problems, you hardly ever hear about the good stuff. Thanks.

I also bought a Tahoe (Q7i) last year (2008 left-over) from my local (e.g. non-Bass Pro) dealer. The dealer was great to work with and I have had very few problems with my boat. In fact, the only thing that went wrong was that the OEM radio went out, but it was replaced within the weak with an updated Sony radio because Tahoe had changed manufacturers. I have had no problems otherwise. I would (and do) recommend Tahoe to my friends. Now that I have had the boat for a year it is time to put on the Smart Tabs (already bought and replacement shock parts recieved from Nautilus - thanks Mccwonk) and a ski tower.

Can't wait for the season to get started.

Can you post what they did to repair the dieseling? My 4.3 has done this a few times. Doesn't do it always. Any other replies would be appreciated.
It's great to see there are still great dealers out there.
I just was at Western RV in Red Deer, Alberta on the weekend where the manager opened the parts shop just for me. It was actually closed for Easter weekend.
To make a long story short when I purchased my boat in 2008, I was given a PILE of Western RV bucks to spend in their shop because my boat didn't arrive on time. (This was offered to me...I didn't even ask for it) Western RV does not carry the Tahoe line anymore but they honored my remaining bucks 2 years later and I was able to purchase $125 worth of parts for free.
That's good service.

the desieling was caused because the carb actually loosend up and was dripping just enouph gas in the intake to keep it some what running. so i would look at the carb. mounting bolts on your boat. hope this helps your problems.
