at the line up. we were #71 of 109. totally mismanaged by the city. We were at the point where and avail shoulder disappeared. At dark it was getting dangerous - they had not shown up to put the lights on and cones etc so I got out in my santa suit and directed traffic down to one lane.

fake neigbor grandkid wanted to throw candy so stuck him in the back but was almost an hour to wait so i let him climb around the truck a bit

I packed in french dip sandwiches in a thermos for me and my friend who helps with all the 'save the bridge' stuff. There was leftovers and he had never heard of such a thing. He said it sounded good so he dug in. note his mamma has raissed him to be considerate enough that even in the back of an old crappy ford (arent all fords crappy?) he kindly leaned to the outside to drip. He's a great kid for a 7 ear old.

his mamma has a shop on the sqaure across from the judging station so we stopped the parade for 30 seconds while he jumped out.
