Re: gold fish

cheapest place I know of to get goldfish in quantity is an aquarium/tropical fish store. They are sold as "feeders." Used to feed them to my peacock bass and oscar. I had seen a very large catfish caught with a "goldy" as bait on the delta in N. Califonia. That was illegal bait there by the way.

Re: gold fish

Would the goldfish in the bottle method be considered baiting a hole?? Just a thought.

Re: gold fish

Glenn F is correct, the cheapest place to find goldfish are aquarium shops. They sell them as feeders and the more you buy the cheaper they are. Again check your local rules as if not allowed be very, very careful.

Re: gold fish

Rong, I found them in sunnyvale california. They are an awesome fish to keep. I could not possibly adequately describe their voracious appetite, speed and effectiveness as predators. I housed mine in a 55 gallon tank. I would quickly dump in 10 goldfish on one side and before I got my hand to my side the bass were working on desert. seriously that fast. Theyd swim around with a couple tails sticking outta there mouths. Im sure they come to the us through Florida. If you are trying to get some and need help my e-mail is vx74@aol. I still have family there that could find out what distributors are dealing with them.

Re: gold fish

Ron, they get larger than our bass. Get the largest tank you can find if you want to keep them healthy. I could really spell things out but I dont want to highjack this thread so e-mail me or we can start a new thread. Im happy to help. Glen
