Keep this in mind........ the hull is normally easy to fix. The powerplant can be a totally different story and there have been years where the 470/3.7L was used so avoid that like the plague.......... I would also avoid OMC I/O's!!

Not really, just went up to OK to look and brought her home. She looks great at 10 yds but up close she really shows her age. So far it is turning out to be a bear to find a shop that will even look at a boat/motor this old. I'm thinking my first project is going to be wiring.

She looks good, Traxx. Old tinnies=no problem. Old Merc - This place has some great guys that give advice based on years of working as pros. Enjoy the heck out of her. :D

Thanks all, been checking into the legals today. TPWD paperwork looks like a pain.
In checking through the build threads, it seems like the decking is wood. Mine is all metal and the guy I bought her from is telling me that the transom is as well. I'll get some more pix today.

TX Parks & Wildlife isn't difficult as long as you have all the paperwork. I can't tell if the sticker is still valid (4 for 2004 or 2014), but if you have the last rego and title, it smooths things. Same with the trailer, the last registration helps a lot. I have to say it's been years since I legalized a boat and trailer in Texas, but it came down to paperwork, like any other state.

I wanna see an all metal transom. Curious.
