Going to be Cold this Winter

Noticed the wooly worms had heavier coats, but seen that before. Next noticed there was a lot of nuts on the ground, but seen that before. The first noted something was different was that the birds left early and the ones that normally stay behind most of them are also gone. The Admiral noticed a deer with knee socks, ok that does it for me, it is going to get cold this year

Actually has anyone ever seen a deer with white on its legs like this. My brother in law has a pic of a solid white deer in SC but gee wiz

The deer would fit right in racing for the Triple Crown. I've only seen horses with white stockings like that. And one C O W.

The EL Nino in the Pacific will have an effect on the upcoming winter. Generally speaking here in the Great Lakes area, Michigan in particular a strong El Nino generally gives us here a mild winter. I guess we will soon find out.

Same for us. Fall has been warm. Talking 50's next week. They're predicting warmer temps and less snow. Not good for business....

I just wish the weather would finally break! We normally have had frost by this time of year but we're still getting temps in the mid-to-upper 80s so far.

Looking forward to some cooler weather here!

Down in GA, due to the strong El Ni?o the long-term forecast is calling for wetter and cooler than normal for the winter. Those lovely winters where the temperatures hover around 38 degrees and it rains for days at a time. Its gonna be a lovely winter in the deep South.

Ice on the grass the last couple of mornings. Had a few flurries last weekend. Bring on the cold and snow! Cute deer pick. Have seen lots of different piebold deer, but never one with that leg only pattern. Pretty neat!

Nope, I did not photoshop the pic. Have several from a distance, can barely make the white out, but its their, I'll post some of them so you can zoom in, later.

Hoping for a cold and snowy winter. Sleds didn't get touched last year. I thought that was a photoshop too.
