Do you think I should get props for a 280 drive? is there a difference between props for a 270, 280, 290, SP-A, etc drive?

They all take the same prop. You might want to post further prop questions over in the Prop forum.

Got the boat out yesterday. I don't know what prop I have as there is no markings. All in all, it was a success. Boat came out of the hole pretty good. Obviously it comes out of the hole better with duo but with this single on, it was no slouch. I firmly believe that a 22' boat's benefits of a duo isnt worth the cost.
