Re: Global Warming Story.
How come we never heard that the Ozone hole was smaller this year??????????

Thursday, December 08, 2005
Global Warming Religion Debunked by Science by Mike Hogan

Long ago Aristotle created an Earth-centric model of the solar system. This model was later refined by Ptolemy. This evolving model made man feel important. It justified our importance. And so, when Copernicus came along with definitive proof that the Sun was the center of the solar system, he was castigated by many as a heretic.

Well, now we have a similar situation playing out with the religion of global warming. Or maybe I should call it the big business of global warming. Scientists now demonstrate that it isnt man who controls how hot it is here on Earth, but (hold on to your hats) the SUN.

Thats right, the Sun is heating things up. Simply put, the Sun has been heating up largely as a result of Sunspot 882 which is 87,000 miles across (as large across as Jupiter). Earth's North Pole and Mars's South Pole are melting at a surprisingly rapid rate. Even far out Pluto seems to show some melting. Could it be that our greenhouse gases are blanketing those planets too?

We need to stop clinging to our Ptolemaic view of the climate. We dont control the climate, we are merely along for the ride. The ice age didnt end because of Dinosaurs driving SUVs.

Along these same lines:

For Al Gore to call global warming the greatest threat facing mankind, he should be locked up in that lockbox of his.

The Kyoto Treaty is nothing more than a redistribution of wealth overseen by the UN. Industrialized countries (like the US) will have to buy Kyoto credits from the undeveloped countries. Lets tax progress! Communism didnt work on a country level, so lets try it on a global level! And with the corrupt UN (see Oil for food) managing the process. Do people really think that we are that stupid?

Global warming and hurricanes? You might as well blame it on the god of the sea, Neptune. The increase in frequency and strength of hurricanes is the result of the Atlantic Conveyer Belt (sort of like El Nino in the Pacific) which follows regular patterns like much of our weather.

Antarctica melting? Nope, the ice is thickening on this frozen continent that contains 90% of the worlds ice. A small area of Antarctica (2% of total land mass), called the Antarctic Peninsula, has had a natural melting process for over 6,000 years (Dinosaurs in SUVs again?) as a result of the Katabatic winds and La Nina.
