First let me intrroduce myself. I am a first time boater, have a Glastron V210 which I own and would be making some repairs to bring it up to seaworthyness. Sad to say I ran on this site earlier, but never thought it had so much to offer.
I am about to post my firs call for help. I need to remove all the old gas from this boat, but do not know how to. I found out that it has an anti siphon valve and wondered if this would not allow me to siphon it out. All help is appreciated.
I just had my engine redone (Mercruiser 898) and do not want to use the old gas. The boat was sitting for over 12 years without any use.

Ayuh,....

The Valve you ask of is the Hose Barb at the tank's outlet...

You can either swap it for a plain ole Hose Barb, or what I prefer, is to attach an electric Fuel Pump to it,+ run the fuel out into another can for disposal...

Re: Glastron V210

I have had troubles doing it Bondo's way. The hose barb screws into a dip tube that stops about 1 inch from the bottom of the tank so you are leaving the worst of the gas and any water that might be in the tank. I think a better way is to remove the sending unit. This gives you a big enough hole to suck out everything and also inspect some of the inside of the tank. Make sure you tilt the boat so it all runs to the end of the tank that the sending unit is at. Good Luck Muc
