gimble bearing

Recently noticed a noise when turning in the right or left direction. I may be overreacting but could this be a sign of the gimble bearing beginning to wear. I own a 2006 Q4 S. No slippage has been detected and the bearing is greased every Spring and Fall.

How many hours on the drive?
I'd take it in and have the drive pulled and inspected. This could be done yourself if you have the gumpshun.
