Re: Gift Giving Limits

Isn't it the thought that counts. The price of the gift is not nearly as important as the pleasure it gives. Give something that she really wants, enjoys etc.

Noel, yea, that works too! I proposed on a Friday at the end of March (almost 6 years ago now) - that really threw her off! HA! I have been the hero ever since!

Re: Gift Giving Limits

I atually talked to her about it today.....and we agreed that a price limit is pretty arbitrary and that its not the money that matters its the though. I felt that way all along. My argument was that I felt like I was strictly shopping for something within a budget and NOT something that I know she would want or need.

Re: Gift Giving Limits

FWIW,

I didn't have a good answer as to what to get my wife so I bought 12 gifts for the twelve days of christmas, and have them delivered in 12 different ways by about 9 different people but she doesn't know who. The gifts range in price from $1.50 (token for breakfast in bed) to about $30.00 (I had her masters diploma framed) and I saved a big one for Christmas day. But the real gift for me is surprising her in a unique and different way each day.

I have an active imagination, (keep it clean guys) and as I am gone for work most of the weekdays, I have gotten several calls from her in disbelief as to how I had things delivered. I have great neighbors and teachers can be sneaky little bestards when asked. Heck, the dog delivered her gift yesterday, and I am in Indiana. :D
