Getting shocked...! Please help..!!

I have a 2002 Seafox 160CC with a '02 50 HP Merc. Was out yesterday cruising and all of the sudden I felt a small tingle in the steering wheel... Now, pretty much anything metal I touch.. I can feel it.. Feels like the coil packs shocking the $#!% out of you.. Now, if I unplug the big plug on the side of the motor, and start it from the solenoid, I do not feel anything.. plug it back in and boom.. getting shocked again, and that's everywhere.. I even was checking the battery terminals.. and got fried..! Not fun.. What could it be?

12v dc would be hard to feel as a shock. Sound's like you either have a plug wire that's cracked and arcing to ground or one of your yellow alternator wires is grounding. Could be a bad rectifier/regulator.

Okay.. thanks.. I'll check it out.. It's intermittent.. too.. I put it in a pond earlier to trouble shoot it.. and it was shocking me still.. then decided to check the depth of this pond.. and it didn't shock me.. soo.....

replaced spark plug wires.. and still getting shocked.. not as bad.. today on the water.. but, as soon as I took it out and started to flush it.. you could feel it strong in the steering wheel.. What should I do next????
