replaced the 3.0 in my boat due to cracked block, complete engine from oil pan to valve cover. anybody know where I can get rid of this thing or is the scrap yard my best bet?

It's not worth much other than scrap iron. I had a pile of junk and a roached out trailer that I gave to a local scrapper just so he would come haul it all off for free.

your local scrap yard would be my first suggestion.

I would save the starter, distributor and carburetor if you are not using them on the new engine.

I would strip it down and save everything. You never know what you or a friend might need some day. Heads, valve covers, intake, carb starter, pullies, harmonic balancer, water pump, power steering, various hardware, etc....etc...
