Took the girlfriend and her sister out to shop a little (chauffeur ).
Stopped a BestBuy, Kohls, Sears, and Younkers. There were people lined up everywhere to get the doorbuster specials. Which of course were in limited supply and sold out in 5 minutes.
Thats fine, we were just out to shop a little, not stand in lines and stress out over whether we got a doorbuster deal.
I wasn't really shopping, just tagging along, looking for tools and such.
On the way home, we decided to stop at Kmart to get the stuff for the people we are buying for thru the church's "giving tree". We get there at about 4:10 am, just after they opened.
As we enter, there is a guy darting up to the check outs with a tv, a 52"er. I figure it was one of the doorbuster specials, and this guy got some deal.
My needy person is a 44 year old male. I quickly filled the cart with things they had on his need list, and a few things he had added to his want list. Stuff like pillows, towels, electric razor, pajamas, a cd player, and a Packer shirt.
I'm thinking good, time to go.
As we are walking toward the front of the store about 6 am, we pass the electronics area.
There are tv's all over with big signs on them.
And then there are 3 tv's just sitting in the aisle. No sign, no price.
They are 52"ers. Hmmmm I say, ( in my best Foghorn Leghorn voice ) I wonder......
I ask a clerk for a price, he scans it, and says "$399."
So, thats my black friday deal.
An RCA 52" LED-52B45RQ 1080P LCD TV for $399
Oh, and the tv does NOT appear in their ad, or on the kmart website. go figure.
