Just a quick general question for people out there who have sanded back their boats in preparation to be sprayed by 2k.

Rough how many hours of sanding will i need to allocate to sand back my haines 16r fiberglass boat. The boat is 16 feet long. Was planning on using 180 grit then moving to 320 or so...

Re: General Sanding Question

What's 2k,..??......

The Time would depend on the Sanding Equipment you'll be using,.......
Air, Electric, or by Hand,..??.....

If you're just Ruffing the Surface in preparation for Primer,+ Paint,.....
I'd start right out with the 320,.........
The 180 is Great for knocking down Fillers, or other Rough Spots......

8) hmmm I started with 80 and you know what shot a primer on that and after 3 coat's it was as smooth as glass. For time .............dont put a time limit there it's 95% of the job both in term's of overall work and definitely in how the final apperance will look
