I regelcoted the cap to my boat, on the 3rd coat, I had to use a rented air compressor. The bleed valves on the compressor did not work. This caused water to get into the line and mix in with the gel coat, resulting in a textured finish, which I Love... I got a different compressor to finish off the last coat of Gelcoat with the wax. I don't want to sand away the texture. can I still buff out the cap with sanding away the texture?

Water in the Gelcoat is NOT a good thing. I'm not sure how long it will last before it starts to crack and peel. You may like the look and feel now but I fear it will become a PITA in the future.
