Can a person spray gelcoat with HVLP gun?

I have sprayed all kind of things with my HVLP gun in my wood working shop. I don't see why gelcoat would be any different. If you do a quick google search there are lots of threads on other sites dealing with this. Here is one that I found.
What I learned about spraying gelcoat, tutorial of some sorts...

Yes, but it's not the best method and you'll need a minimum of a 2.0mm tip

The advanced search feature at the top of every iboats forum page will generate quite a few hits as JasinIL noted:

Several guys have threads with gelcoat application in progress, but haven't posted recently.

Look for Decker83's deck boat & Trooper82's Ebko threads, they both sprayed gel, but w/ pressure pots setups.
