The SEI drives are available in different gear ratios. If it's going behind a v-8 you're generally going to want a 1.5 or possibly a 1.65The hearing different conflicting stories about lower ratios in a se106 that most of the lowers are 1.65 ?
Is this actually correct y
that a lower from a small v6 or 4 cyl can be used below a v-8. ?
This is for a twin engine 5.7 1985 ishThe SEI drives are available in different gear ratios. If it's going behind a v-8 you're generally going to want a 1.5 or possibly a 1.65
I kinda thought that .Ayuh,.... The final drive ratio in all alphas is determined by the upper unit,....
Lowers are interchangeable between uppers,.....
So, Yes, a lower from an I-4, or I-6, or V6 can be used on a V8 upper, on a V8,....
Ayuh,..... As I said, the lowers are the Same,....I kinda thought that .
I assume from a 4cyl would be too light duty and would grenade ? Or they the same too
your engine is a V8 5.7L ? gear ratio is 1.5 .. mercruiser chart spec's ,,,,I am hearing different conflicting stories about lower ratios in a se106 that most of the lowers are 1.65 ?
