Gear oil supply line leak, Alpha 1 Gen 2

Is it possible to replace gear oil supply line between drive and transom or gimble housing with out removing outdrive?

Thanks for the welcoming and response. So pretty big job for a new boater? Outdrive needs to come off, will the next housing after outdrive need to come off as well?

The bellhousing too, yes,....

If that hose is leaking, chances are All of the rubber is about to fail,.....
With that in mind, I'd go ahead, 'n replace the bellows, oil hose, water hose, 'n the lower shift cable, all at once,....

Generally speakin', it's an every 10 years or so job,....

It was just done 3 years ago, bellows and such. It looks like the hose is too short.

I have done it, but to replace that hose you need to cut it in half first so you done break the plastic transom fitting. make a razor knife edge tool to cut the hoses off the fittings and the "hose pliers" to install a new hose 2 inches longer than the stock hose

Yes, but you won't like it. I've done it a few times in a pinch but only cuz of time constraints (fellow commercial rig).

Your best bet is to follow previous posted advice and fully inspect all components of the transom assy.

Was the recently replaced bellows, etc oem brand parts?
