I have a 1988 Johnson that is giving me problems, when it sats a few days it will not start, if I spray gas in the carbs then it will start and run the rest of the day.
Someone has told me I have a bad fuel pump. The motor has a vro pump on it.
Can I take the vro pump off connect fuel line direct to carbs? and just add oil to my gas.

Re: gdean

You can remove the VRO and run premix, read the threads in the FAQ pertaining to this. What is your starting procedure? When were the carbs last rebuilt?
