Picture for reference. The instrument/gauge panel on our 7 year old South Bay 500 series is coming loose. The screws on the back of the panel that are supposed to hold the panel in place are held on with dabs of glue and the glue is giving out. This seems like really shoddy engineering, has anyone come up with a better fix?

If it doesn’t have to come off now and then for repairs, you can use 3M high bond tape.

It is strong and stays where put.

southbay and the other forest river brands buy their gauge panel from the same source that feeds most of the pontoon market.

start by calling their customer service line.

beyond that, it should be a simple repair with a methacrylate of your choice.

The factory and dealer are recommending going back with epoxy again. Metha-what?
Maybe simple if you're small in stature and nimble enough to work under the console!

methacrylate...... glorified superglue. its the adhesives used to bond nearly everything together in the marine world. such as plexus, sika bond, etc.

pull the gauge panel, work on the bench.
