I am restoring a 1959 Gator trailer model W214. It has leaf springs 33" long with 4 leafs. I can't find any new ones that long. If I get shorter ones I will have to modify the trailer and I want to avoid doing that. Does anyone know where I can get new or used springs for this.

Look up "Springs-Automotive" in the yellow pages.

Re: Gator Trailer Springs

I have a Gator C-100 it had the same springs. I put 25" 2000lb springs on mine had to put new hanger kit on. Holes did not line up so I had to drill new ones. Cost was an issue for me. I got mine for $29 each. Dont know what it would cost to have them made. I had to have new 1/2" U bolts made to attach the axle. You may also have problems finding the rubber inserts in the end of the springs. The new ones made today use some kind of liner.

Northern Tools hardware/equipment store carries all kinds of trailer parts and supplies, if you happen to have one near you. If not, maybe you could check/purchase from them on line. Good Luck!
