just purchased a 35ft bertram w/3208's cats. it has no generator . i have come across a 8.5 kohler gas generator. what is the pro's and con's of putting in a gasoline generator in a diesal boat?
I'd look for a diesel genset too. The unit will likely be in the engine compartment or somewhere similar so the diesel is safer for sure. You won't have carry a second type of fuel either.
