Hello Im new to the site actually just been lurking for two months, reading all the posts so I am looking for a accurate amount of oil to gas mix on one thread on the main someone said a gas mix should be 32:1 on 4 other threads guys are saying 50:1 and a couple thread guys are saying 40:1 the motor is a 1967 Johnson seahorse electromatic two stroke and the manual I have goes to 35hp and it says 50:1 is that the safe bet?

I have a 77' 35 Hp Johnson. I use a 50:1 ratio. Works good for me, little smoke as well.

1964 and later, 50:1. Ratio's for earlier models vary considerably. Buy a $3 mixing jar at Stuffmart, has every ratio known to man and then some.

There are always the experimenters who try mixtures not recommended. If the engine doesn't blow up they think they have reinvented the wheel.

Trust the guys who designed and made the engine. In your case it is 50:1.

50:1 only. TC-W3 outboard oil, outboard synthetic TC-W3 is fine also.
