Hard to say with certainty but I'd guess "yes" you have a gas leak coming from somewhere! Could be fuel lines or a leaking tank. Your gonna have to get in there and check everything thoroughly. Fuel fires are no fun. Take your battery out of the boat until you got it repaired. Good luck.

A pressure test will tell you if the tank is compromised or it is just the fuel lines/fittings. Call dealer or marinas and ask if they can pressure test it for you. Good luck

called a place by where i live.Told the guy i filled the tank sunday night, and the next day was when i found the gas in the bilge pump area.He said if i had a gas leak it wouldnt be full now.Went out today to check it and the gas needled hasnt moved.I know there is over flow line running from the gas cap to the top of the tank toward the front of the boat.do you know if there is another over flow line or something.Mighty strange gas come from the bilge pump and the gas needled hasnt moved.

Re: gas tank leak

You may have a leak at the "filler neck" of your tank. The short section of hose that connects your tank to the fill opening. Tighten the hose clamps at the top and bottom of the hose. If the bottom clamp is leaking, it will leak a small amount of gas until the gas level drops below the leak.

The rubber vent, fuel pickup and filler hose do not last forever. They can and do leak, so check them out before panicking.
