gas tank help

when you pump the bulb with just the tank and hose hooked up but not hooked up to the motor should gas be filling the bulb? i have been having issues with my motor everything is brand new and still runs like crap when i go over 1/4 throttle like its not getting gas, i know when i pump my bulb gas dont fill up until i open up the other end of the hose could this be my issue?

With the hose not attached to the engine there is no where for the gas to go so it can't move through the line. Will it run better if you pump the primer bulb while you advance the throttle?

That is normal. There is a valve in the connector that plugs on the motor. It stays closed until it is plugged in. Test your fuel pump.

fuel pump is brand new when i pump the bulb when its running it runs a little longer than it usually does but only for an extra 15 seconds, not sure what to do new fuel pump new float new gas lines new bulb new needle, carbs cleaned, it just idles like a champ but when i got over 1/4 throttle it spudders a few times than dies...

I think I would overhaul the carb paying attention to all the passages and high speed orifice.

yeah i paid a mechanic to clean the carbs any idea what the high speed oriface is located?
