$100 to fill up my Titan. I live 6 miles from work. A tank lasts me two weeks if I don't do much more than just drive to work and back. It's bearable because I don't drive many miles. Still, I am riding my motorcycle more now so that will help. I think if we work on being more efficient with our trips and do even better. I feel for folks that have to commute.

We're heading to the lake as well... We'll spend a half hour to an hour wakeboarding. Then we'll anchor up for a few hours................kick back, drink a few....................relax and enjoy the water and the evening.

gas for the boat and truck is around $80.00 every time we go out. So far it once a week.

i pay about 200 total to fill up the boat and the truck to tow....truck gets enough to tow...boat gets filled...funny thing is, my boat is bigger than my truck....24' 8" wellcraft 248 sportsman...towed by a 03' chevy trailblazer. lol its funny to pics when they are hooked up...

I hope you don't tow very far. My 21ft Wellcraft is close to the tow rating of my Trailblazer. You've gotta be over with a 24ft.

'Bout $29.00 per 6 gallons of 89 plus 16 Oz of oil fer the mix, fer the thirsty old inlines, if ya run 'em @ 3,000-3,500 it will wake board with a full boat fer hours and hours, (my kids went through two six gallon tanks and wake boarded fer two days with about ten guests, which shocked me).

Water skiing is much worse since yer puttin' the old girls to the wall outa the hole so two tanks per day if yer pullin' a crowd of hot dog slalom skiiers as my kids do, from time to time.

JB's advice, (THANKS ), just cut the cost fer me three 25 hp 2 stoke Mercs to $27.50 give or take per 6 gallon tank of 87 with the oil mixed. 'Course it takes two to three weeks to burn a tank on the 25. JR

it probably is....where do i find that out? I dont go too far...about a 10 minute drive and i dont go over 40....I love it cause i see people with their big ford trucks trying to pull their boats out of the water and they just roll back or spin tires but my trailblazer with 4 wheel drive will easily crawl out with the boat....i hate ford by the way

The best way would be to take your rig to a scale and weigh it.

But you can get a rough number from http://www.wellcraft.com click on owners, then product info guides. They have them all the way back to 1985.

That'll give you a dry weight with base IO(if that's what it has). Add any engine upgrade or weight of outboard, 6lbs per gallon for gas, 8lbs per gallon for water, 200-400lbs misc gear & weight of trailer(http://www.ezloader.com/ gives the weight of the trailers that they sell).

You can get your towing capacity from http://www.trailerboats.com/. For the Trailblazer it's 5800lb with 6cyl.
6200lb with 6cyl + 4.10 axle ratio.
7000lb with 8cyl.

That should get you in the ballpark.
For my rig, I get 4800lbs with 5100lb towing capacity. And yup, drop it into 4wd and away we go.

Thanks for the links and the help....i think im ok....looks like my boat is about 3750...adding gas and 600 lbs misc. brings me to 4830 and the trailer thing i couldnt figure out but it says 5800lbs for my trailblazer so should be ok but probably close....im not stupid enough to drive too fast though lol

About $75. Went through a tank somewhat quick during the break-in period of our new Merc 115hp four-stroke (you need to run it at WOT often), but since then the gauge hasn't moved much during our four fishing outings in 17.5 foot Lund Fisherman. They told us it would be easy on gas, but I was skeptical. Now I'm sold.

Went to the lake last week-end. I also took 3- 5 gallon cans with me. The town I went to has a refinery. I filled the 3 cans, topped off the truck, and put some in the boat. (Not sure how much, I put in the truck, or boat). Total, was 53.2 gallons @ $3.759/gallon = $200.00

That was enough !!!!!
