Gas cap broke off - 1990 Four Winns 180

I have a 1990 Four Winns 180. My gas cap broke off. It is a flip-up type gas cap that is held on by a small pin or bolt. One of the eyelets broke and I lost the cap in the water. I looked around at a few boating place and could only find the screw type gas cap. Does anyone know where I can find the flip-up type gas cap that was used by Four Winns?

Is there a name for the manufacturer of the cap assembly? Four Winns doesn't make gas caps, they only buy them from suppliers. If there is a name, (or you remember a name before it went in the drink), may be worth contacting that company to see if they offer the cap separate from the whole assembly.

I talked to the Dealer. They do not have a replacement cap. I need to replace the entire filler and cap. I pulled the four screws off at the top and the cap moves less than 1/4". I'm assuming there are clamps holding the gas tube to the filler tube. The gas filler tube is located up behind the battery. Any advice on removing the clamps and putting the clamps back on?

If they are threaded/worm style clamps a 5/16 or 8mm 1/4 drive swivel socket will be your best friend. Many a gas tank I have been able to pull out of a tight spot in a car because of my buddy.
