Garmin 185 gps/sounder

I just picked up a used Garmin 185 gps/sounder. Ive got the gps to work but the transducer is not sending anything to the unit. The transducer and all related cables seem to be in good shape. I'm woundering if it is just a setting? Help!,

Check to see if you have it mounted correctly, it should be on about a 3 degree angle toward the ground. Possibly why it was for sale
