I recently bought a used 178c Sounder. After turning the unit on, the fuse blows anywhere up to a minute or so, sometimes after a few seconds. The power cable is new, and the fuses I am using are the factory recommended fuses. I have opened the unit to see if there is any obvious visible damage to the circuitboard or connectors, but nothing that I could see (ie - no blown traces, resistors, broken or shorted wires, etc.). Tried to contact Garmin support, but still no response after a week and three emails. Anyone have suggestions or similar experiences with Garmin products? Would really like to get this unit going!
