Yes that's what it is (unless it's been modified). It should list the model on the capacity plate.
my capacity plate is 'very' hard to read but I'll take a look and see if I can spot the model info. Thanks for letting me know.

Yeah I have a few SW stern pics, looking back to find some of it outside. The SW is 3 pieces, the center pan and the 2 side 'wings' that attach to the gunnels and transom. I replaced all the solid rivets holding it together and put new sealant in the seams. I'll post some out of the boat pics if I find any in my pic folders

Yours is most likely the same as my 78 V5 Islander, one piece but mine was sawed up by a savant from 25" transom to a cut out for a 20" motor.
Anyway I don't have it out but it looks pretty straight forward removing it in one piece.

The inside SW when I was removing all the rusty garbage from the transom before storing the boat.

looks like the style of your transom is different then mine? My boat is a 1986 but in any event if I end up replacing the wood, whatever it takes to replace will get done. One day atta time.

If need a new plate and can't read the data on yours, here's what mine looks like. Your 22'r will be the same. Quite the boats to take a ton load.

Great attitude and it that's what it takes then that's what it will take to get it done. :D Post some pics of your splashwell area.

I wonder if his mariner is rated at higher capacity. My IO SS is. Wonder if that's extra structure, less flotation, or what on the Islander?

Right now all I remember is seeing 240 hp rating on the plate. Windy today 55 mph gusts so not taking canvass off today less the wind let's up. Soon as I can get at it I'll check it out real good.
WATERMANN.... there are pics of my transom here in my very first post. I'll take more if I decide to tear it down for sure. Going to sea trial the boat first then go from there.

UPDATE YAMAHA GAUGES - REFURBISHED
My Yammy gauges were all messed up on this boat. Couldn't read them at all. UV rays got to them over the years. I decided to remove them, take them apart and refurbish them.
Picked up the new micro film for inside the gauges and multiple grade sand paper for the lenses thru amazon. If anyone out there has gauges that are in as bad a shape as mine don't be afraid to rip them apart.. whatever it takes to get to the piece of glass inside. The micro film is on both sides of the piece of glass. You just peel it off (both sides of glass).. remove the remaining glue with rubbing alcohol. Cut out same size micro film and place on both sides of the glass, throw it back together and sand the gauge lens down starting with course paper right down to super fine paper. It's worth the effort.. these Yammy gauges cost over $250 new and now I can read mine from 2 miles away. :) in direct sunlight. Total cost for micro film and super duper sand paper = $22.00 ........... Youtube video show how to refurbish.
In my case I did not have to use a dremel to grind off anything. My gauges came apart by removing 2 screws for the lense.. 4 screws inside to get to the glass.

UPDATE #234 - FUEL SENDING UNIT - WHERE THE HECK IS IT?
After refurbishing my Yamaha gauges I noticed the fuel gauge wasn't working. Tested the gauge by grounding the fuel gauge wire and it was fine. The gauge shot right up to FULL when grounded.
Time to locate the fuel sending unit. As mentioned earlier whoever installed the new floor never put an access hatch for the fuel sending unit or pick up tube.... I stuck my phone in the first hatch I created, pointed it toward the front of the boat and took a picture. Sure as heck.. I saw the fuel sending unit up in there. Pulled some measurements / cut a hole and low and behold there she was. After installing the new sending unit I put Permatex around the edge then topped it off with 5200 for good measure. Fuel gauge works fine now.

Pretty sure it has to do with the transom cutout on an OB model and the weight capacity of an IO which has 800+ lbs of cast iron in the back with a full transom.

The rule (for inboards). For outboards the machinery weight is 0 and your outboard rolls into the total capacity.1617049925324.png

The 200 pound weight difference that starcraft lists for Islander vs SS clearly doesn't matter. And as long as there's only 1 hole max 3in diameter in the splashwell, rating would be up to the top of the splashwell by my interpretation. Rating the SS IO for 870 pounds more PLUS over a thousand pounds of engine + outdrive seems kind of unreasonable. That's almost a ton more capacity!

I guess if starcraft put extra penetrations in the splashwell or laws have changed or something that ballparks out to about right for a 12-18in deep splashwell or so...I guess I just hadn't internalized that the splash well top was cut so shallow (relatively speaking). Wonder if the big bracket islanders were rated for close to 2 tons?

Heck, even a little 16SS OB is rated for 1500 lbs. That your big islander can only take 500 more pounds than an SS 16 seems odd.1617052717132.png

What I like about the IOs is the no HP rating limiting it. There's something to be said about not hanging a motor outside off the back of your boat that's one thing for sure!

Just picked up an 1986 - 21 to 22 foot Starcraft Spot center console with a 94 Yamaha 130 V4 2 stroke.
Previous owner just installed a new fuel tank and floor. Transom looks super.
According to previous owner this boat spent most of it's life in a warehouse.
He claims theree is less then 100 hrs on the motor and the boat got hardly any use at all since it was new.
The hull is cream colored and looks like new, still super shiny. Quick wash a little polish and the hull should look beautiful. The plexiglass windshield on the center console is crystal clear. It has a Starcraft decal on it that looks like it was just put on there yesterday.
The helm looks like no one has ever placed a cup of coffee.. just clean and shiny on top of the dash/ helm.. amazing.

** If anyone has additional information pertaining to the history on this model boat please let me know your thoughts.

Also if you own or owned one let me know how if performed and what else if anything you liked about it... or disliked for that matter.

Pretty siked over this find.
Can't wait to jump on it in the Spring / get it cleaned up and running again.

Just thought I'd share my find.
I flip a lot of boats but this may be a keeper!
Model number confirmed: My boat is a MR 220 V
