Gamefisher 7.5 Help

I got a sears gamefisher 7.5 Model# 217585930. The shift lever goes up and down but doesn't seem to be engaging the prop to go into forward. The rod just slides up and down, but i'm not sure if it's missing parts. If you could please help me, or put a picture of the shift lever and where it goes (Linkage)

Have you checked the shear pin? That would be the cheapest, easiest fix before exploring the more costly, more difficult parts. Good to make sure before you spend any $$$ at least.
