G3 Bay 17 transducer placement

[Stump Sitter]

Looking for guidance on positioning a down imaging/side imaging transducer on this boat. The lower transom has a couple of features I don't understand.
1. the two small trim tab like extensions. 2. the slight concave extensions at bottom/transom junction.
These features are on both port and starboard sides.
Any guidance would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

The tab extensions on the trailer would be for a keel roller, the other I don't know

Looks like a DIY idea. Just stuck on the hull with air gaps.

The boat is brand new ..........

I suspect it’s a transducer mount so you don’t have to drill the hull.

Mount lays flat instead of you typical 90 degree when mounted on the transom

Maybe, but those tabs only extend about 1.5 inches. Thanks !!

Instead or the bracket being up and 90*, it's layed flat and secured on the plate

The mounting part of the bracket isn’t but 1.5” or so wide

Ding, I went out and checked and you might be on to something there. Unfortunately for me, my Garmin transducer mount will not lay flat. Maybe a little DIY modification ?

Maybe take bracket off, flip it over and reinstall. Mount under the plate

Looks like adding a piece of aluminum angle to the tab might be the ticket. Thanks to all for the suggestions !!

The metal mount on my GT51 lays flat
