Fuel valve selector?

Attached is a picture of the fuel valve selector for the port and stbd tanks, I've taken the fittings off an inspected inside doesn't appear to have any issue. Does anyone know if these ever cause any problems with the fuel system as stated in other posts my 1989 Stratos FS loses power after I get it on plane for a few minutes.

Thanks

Re: Fuel valve selector?

What size motor? If a V6 outboard, you need a 3/8" ID fuel line, and 3/8" selector valve. If they are too small, they will restrict fuel flow. Also check the antisiphon valves on each fuel tank for clogs. Some have fuel screens tha get dirty. You might test the motor with a protable tank and 3/8" fuel line.
